小强盗女孩一只胳膊搂着格尔达的脖子，另一只手拿着刀，很快就酣睡起来还打起呼噜。

强盗们围坐在火边，唱歌喝酒，老妇人跌跌撞撞地走来走去。

拉普兰女人和芬兰女人

屋顶几乎倾斜到地面，门非常矮，一家人进出的时候都得手脚并用地爬。

屋里除了一个拉普兰老妇人之外没有别人，她正在一盏鱼油灯下煎鱼。

驯鹿先讲了自己的事情（在他看来这是最重要的），然后讲了格尔达的故事，而格尔达冻得厉害，都说不出话来。
